For more than 20 years, John has been a leader and innovator within the organic recycling industry. He was one of the first to develop quality standards and use specifications for organic products. Through his accomplishments, Casella Organics has developed more than 40 innovative landscape, turf and agricultural products that are serving to improve both soil and plant health throughout the northeast.

On the personal side, John is an avid surfer and windsurfer, having traveled many places to enjoy wind and waves. "Of all the places I have traveled, my favorite is a secret spot right off the coast of Maine. The water can be a little cold, but when the conditions are right it is the most amazing place."
